[UPDATE] If you experience any issues after thiese upgrades, all completed Sunday Aug 30, 2015, please open a ticket.
Over the next week-ends in August, we will be gradually upgrading our private cloud of hosting servers from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
These upgrades include following upgrades that may affect scripts which would be incompatible:
- PHP will be upgraded to security-maintained version 5.5 and
- Apache will be upgraded to 2.4.7.
Older or not up-to-date PHP scripts may be affected by this upgrade (e.g. antique unsupported Joomla, Wordpress or Drupal versions), as well as very customized .htaccess or php.ini files.
Please make sure that you have all your PHP scripts up-to-date and compatible with PHP 5.5 in the next days.
MySQL Server stays at up-to-date 5.5 version during that upgrade.
The upgrades have been carefully prepared and rehearsed on test-servers, and will be scheduled during low-traffic hours on week-ends.
We will be defining and announcing by email in advance scheduled maintainance windows of 4 hours for each server, but the longest downtime period will probably be 30 minutes, as well as upgrades-completed emails after the upgrade.
If the scheduled upgrade including PHP 5.5.9 of your sites would be an issue for you, please open a ticket at our support before 2nd of July 2015, so that we can find an arangement if needed (e.g. to move your account to a server which will be upgraded at a later time).
Best Regards,
